At the age of 10 in 1982 I got my first skateboard and from there on I fell in love with all kinds of board sports. In 2016 I discovered LDP and the propelling motion gave me a thrill. As these bracketboards are rather expensive it became my goal to produce completes and LDP components which are affordable, but still of top quality and great performance. Therefore I founded the Black Dog Skateshop in 2019.

I got my first skateboard in 1978 and started windsurfing in 1980. Later on I also tried surfing, kitesurfing and a bit of snowboarding, but finally came back to longboarding and especially LDP. Besides that I have always been in love with design & craftsmanship, so I started building longboards in 2008. Pumping is a kind of meditation for me and I really get into the flow when doing it. I consider myself as a soulboarder, because I'm not much interested in competition.
